Enriched Plasma with Platelets
Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a treatment that uses a concentration of the client's own platelets to accelerate skin or hair rejuvenation, and the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints.
Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is mainly composed of water and proteins and provides a means for red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets to circulate throughout the body. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other functions necessary to heal and regenerate.
